Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and former WWE Superstar Jon Moxley would on the main roster back in 2012 and were known as The Shield. They remain one of the most recognizable tag teams in recent memory.
In fact, the stable would go on to become one of the most dominant and popular stables in the history of the WWE and truly elevated that statuses of all three Superstars involved. The Shield would break up and reunite on a few occasions. After Jon Moxley’s departure from WWE back in 2019, it seems the Shield is done for good.
While speaking to Peter Rosenberg for Hot 97 radio. the WWE Universal Champion talked about the possibility of a Shield reunion. Roman Reigns made it clear that he isn’t interested in a Shield reunion right now as Reigns is currently focused on being a one-man show.
“No. I have respect for everything we did now. A lot of that time was really pivotal for me to learn and gain experience. Be around other performers. See their processes and how they attack things and how they think about things. But where I am at now it’s a one-man show. I have the family dynamic with my cousins but at the same time, I call the shots. It’s my thumb that’s down on this pole. So yeah, I don’t think I can share it anymore.”
Roman Reigns is currently set to defend his WWE Universal Championship against WWE Hall Of Famer Edge, who made his return recently. We will have to see if Roman Reigns will be able to successfully retain his title.
