Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world as he has competed all over the world in various promotions, including WWE. He has competed for over three decades and has worked with the best of the best in the pro wrestling world.
After working for several years in WWE, Chris Jericho would make his way to AEW in 2019, in a move that shocked the pro wrestling world.
While speaking with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, Chris Jericho talked about his conversation with Vince McMahon before going to AEW.
Chris Jericho revealed that Vince McMahon thought he was squeezing Vince McMahon for money when he told him that Jericho was going to talk to Tony Khan about an AEW contract.
“I honestly believe to this day that he thought I was trying to bluff him and squeeze him for more money, which he should know me better, and if that’s the case, I never would have done that. I was always straight with Vince as much as possible but that’s kind of how it all started and I bet Vince regrets that now because of the amount of money he would have paid me not to go, I’m sure he’s paid times a hundred.”
Chris Jericho is certainly happy with his time working in AEW and it is unlikely he will ever go back to working for Vince McMahon again.
