WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is one of the most legitimate athletes to have competed in the world of both MMA and pro wrestling. He has been booked as a solid champion since winning the title earlier in the year.

Bobby Lashley had previously mentioned that he would like to give Kofi Kingston the shot at the WWE Championship which he never got. That ultimately came true as Lashley will be defending his title against Kofi Kingston at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Lashley and Kingston’s upcoming WWE Championship match. Booker T stated that Lashley should make short work out of Kingston, akin to a ‘Beat The Clock’ challenge and likely a squash match.

“I’m hoping Bobby Lashley goes out there and beats the hell out of Kofi Kingston (laughs) like a heavyweight is supposed to do. You go out there and you beat on this man, and you beat on this man, and you beat on him until he says, ‘Please, just don’t beat me anymore.’ That’s the way I feel this thing should work out. For me, this match should be like Bobby is playing ‘Beat The Clock’ (laughs). It’s got to be quick, man, straight into the Hurt Lock, the one punch, right into the Hurt Lock. It isn’t going to be a competition. That’s my prediction.”

We will have to wait and see if Bobby Lashley will be defeating Kofi Kingston in short time or if Kingston will pull off the upset and win the WWE Championship for a second time.
