WWE is making some big changes throughout the company and many more are expected down the line. This could result in a few open positions and more internal shifting. A new report came out that Canyon Ceman is no longer with the company, but WWE isn’t admitting to that.
Following Dave Meltzer’s initial report, Sean Sapp confirmed that he had heard those rumors about Ceman’s departure as well. This is not the same information that WWE apparently gave out with their response. Sapp tweeted out to say:
WWE reached out and they stated that Canyon Ceman has NOT been let go by WWE.
There have been rumors circulating within WWE and the wrestling world over the last two days. We reached out to Canyon last night, as well as two WWE sources, and did not get a response until just now
We’re told Ceman even asked WWE how to go about handling the inquiries of his status with WWE, but we didn’t get a specific response from him. Our requests to WWE didn’t get a response until word made it’s way out, as they don’t typically comment on personnel matters
We’ve been contacted by at least two dozen people in the industry speculating about Canyon Ceman in the last 24 hours, across all major companies. Ceman still scouts for WWE and is in charge of handling a lot of contract negotiations as well.
Dave Meltzer later tweeted out to say, “WWE says Ceman still with company. Crazy story.”
We will have to see what kind of changes are coming to WWE down the line. This is an interesting situation, to say the least. WWE is likely to see a lot of changes, and Canyon Ceman could be a part of that. Right now he seems to still be with WWE.
