Samoa Joe remains one of the most popular WWE Superstars to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. Samoa Joe was fired back in April as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts and this shocked the pro wrestling world.
Thankfully, Samoa Joe would finally make his return to NXT earlier this month, where he was offered to become the new NXT General manager, but turned down the offer. Samoa Joe then became William Regal’s new enforcer.
Samoa Joe has competed against the best of the best in the pro wrestling world and that includes Brock Lesnar. The two faced off at the WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in 2017 for the WWE Universal Championship. While the match was a little over six minutes long, fans certainly loved it even if Joe lost the match.
While speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Samoa Joe stated that Brock Lesnar doesn’t respect those wrestlers who do not have high energy and match his intensity in the ring.
“That’s the kind of energy you have when you’re out there with Brock. He probably won’t respect anything less than that. If you don’t show up saying you’re gonna try to kick his teeth in and you’re coming after him, he ain’t trying to hear it. You’ve gotta keep that energy with him. That’s kind of what I’m alluding to. You’ve gotta match that intensity.”
Samoa Joe is currently working towards an in-ring return and on the other hand, it is not known when Brock Lesnar will be making his return to the company if he even will at this point in time.
