Adam Cole is touted as one of the best in-ring workers WWE has ever seen and remains one of the top Stars in NXT since making his debut back in 2017. His in-ring skills are second to none and he has competed in some of the best matches in NXT’s history.
Adam Cole disbanded the Undisputed Era and since then engaged in a bitter feud with Kyle O’Reilly, leaving the other members of the group to go their own paths. That is exactly what happened as Roderick Strong re-debuted at the end of last week’s episode of NXT, where he was revealed to be the leader of the new faction called The Diamond Mine.
While speaking on Corey Grave’s ‘After The Bell’ podcast, Adam Cole talked about Roderick Strong’s new faction and just what it would mean for KUSHIDA and others. Adam Cole admitted that Strong being the leader of the faction is scary.
“Roddy is probably the toughest opponent I’ve ever been in the ring with. When you are done wrestling Roddy, you definitely feel like you’ve wrestled. He brings it, he always has and always will. So the idea of him being at the forefront, or what it looks like, of this new group, it’s scary.
I think it’s scary for the whole brand, definitely scary for KUSHIDA. I think it’s really cool in some senses for Roddy to find this new group and new crew. He looks as confident as ever, but I really hope that Roddy stays out of my way. The idea of having to deal with Roddy this tense and this fired up is something I’m not ready to deal with right now.
Roddy is on fire and I can tell.”
Apart from Roderick Strong, the Diamond Mine comprises of Tyler Rust & Hideki Suzuki along with Malcolm Bivens taking on the role as the manager. We will have to see how the faction will be booked in NXT.
