Eric Bischoff Says Current Wrestling Industry ‘Generally Disappoints’ Him

Many fans would agree that WWE’s product has fallen a lot when it comes to quality. The current product has a lot of flaws including 50/50 booking, feuds that don’t go anywhere, teams splitting up for no reason and storylines not making sense. The disinterest of the fans is reflected in the dwindling ratings of Monday Night RAW over the past few years.

As a whole, the element of storylines in pro wrestling, in general, has largely remained unchanged and that is an issue for many fans. On top of the there are numerous flaws in the current pro wrestling industry that doesn’t sit well with fans.

While speaking to Inside The Ropes, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff was asked about what he thinks of the current product produced in the pro wrestling industry as a whole.

Eric Bischoff revealed that he doesn’t watch enough of the product to name any younger pro wrestlers who stand out to him as a performer. Bischoff stated that in general, the pro wrestling industry right now simply disappoints him.

“Oh, you know, I would be disingenuous if I just pulled names out of here off the top of my head at this point because I don’t. The truth is I don’t watch enough of the product to have a feel anymore.

“I’m just not interested in what I see right now and I do drop in, I don’t want to suggest that I never watch it. I do watch it hoping something’s going to catch my imagination.

And if there’s something that piques my interest, I’ll tune in, and I’ll check it out. But more often than not, I’m generally disappointed.”

We certainly wonder if pro wrestling as a whole will improve their product as pro wrestling continues to evolve through the years with many new aspects given more focus.
