Ever since Matt Riddle signed with WWE, he has been one of the mainstays of WWE television, be it in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills is one of best in the company and he already has a good fan following.

Matt Riddle’s character has certainly gotten over with fans thanks to his comedic timing and generally cool attitude while still being that of a stoner character.

While speaking to Inside The Ropes, Eric Bischoff was asked about younger pro wrestlers who could be main event level eventually. Bischoff stated that Matt Riddle will definitely reach that level and dded that while Matt Riddle’s character is not quite whatsoever, it’s the way he does it so well that makes him successful.

“As far as some of the younger talent or newer talent that are coming up who I think could be Main Event quality, I love Matt riddle. I, I just love him.

Not only do I like his character, because this character, isn’t that unique. I mean, he, he does that character uniquely well, but we’ve seen that type of character in other forms of entertainment. So what’s that like something we’ve never seen before? He’s got that what was that character from that movie? It was kind of like a, it was kind of like a burned-out skateboarder.

But we’ve seen that type of character and other forms of entertainment. Matt does it so well. That’s what makes it unique is he does it so well and it’s so believable.”

Matt Riddle is currently teaming up with Randy Orton and the very odd pairing is certainly a hit with fans as they are really liking the two’s dynamic. We wonder whether a proper push will mean team RK-Bro will be getting a shot at the RAW Tag Team titles eventually as AJ Styles and Omos recently called them out recently.
