The Diamond Mine just debuted on NXT this week, but then the company released a slew of Superstars. A couple of those people were slated to be a part of this new faction led by Malcolm Bivens.
According to a report fromFightful, both Arturo Ruas and Marina Shafir were planned to be a part of the Diamond Mine stable. Those plans changed at the last minute.
It was reported that Ruas was penciled in to debut with the Diamond Mine group, but “he was informed a few days ahead of time that plans had changed for him.” It was also stated that the plan was for Marina Shafir to debut with the stable at a later date as a “female enforcer.”
WWE axed over a dozen Superstars from 205 Live and NXT yesterday. Those releases will be felt once all of the released Superstars find their way to other pro wrestling companies. Plans for the Diamond Mine will continue, but they will likely have a couple less members than originally planned.
