Since its inception in 2019, AEW has strived to provide a proper alternative product to WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded but there are still many areas of improvement.

For many, AEW was seen as a breath of fresh air and also that old school nostalgia as the company tried to balance both the modern and old school aspects of pro wrestling.

AEW President Tony Khan is a true lover of the pro wrestling business and that certainly has reflected in the product. While speaking with Sporting News , Britt Baker talked about how Tony Khan’s passion for the pro wrestling business makes AEW special.

“We have Tony Khan, who not only is a powerful executive and CEO, but he’s a wrestling fan deep down. He can step on the other side and watch wrestling as a fan, and say, “Is this something that I would enjoy?” versus is this something that’s going to benefit his company, one way or another. I think what’s so special about us — just Tony’s passion for professional wrestling,”

There is no doubt AEW will keep on striving to better their product so that fans remain happy for as long as possible. We will have to see just how the company will change in the coming years.
