Paul Wight Wants AEW To ‘Hurry Up’ & Let Him Face Shaquille O’Neal

Paul Wight is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world as he worked in the business for well over two decades. Paul Wight shocked the pro wrestling world when he officially announced that he will be working in AEW a few months ago.

Since his appearance in AEW he has been working as part of the AEW commentary team and is certainly having a great time there. However, he has yet to compete inside the ring in the company.

While speaking with Miami Herald, Paul Wight talked about possibly facing off against Shaquille O’Neal. Wight wants AEW to hurry up and let him face off against O’Neal in a match that has been teased for many years.

“I hope so at some point. It’s been the biggest tease ever between Shaq vs. me for how many years. At some point, you either never do it because you can’t live up to the tease or we need to hurry up and do it before it gets to be yesterday’s news,”

A match between the two was first teased back in 2009 on an episode of Monday Night RAW. After that, O’Neal and Paul Wight had another interaction at WrestleMania 32, where they competed in the Andre The Giant Battle Memorial. We will have to see if the two behemoths ever cross paths.
