Why WWE Is Holding Hell In A Cell Match During RAW

WWE kept the Hell in a Cell structure hanging above the ring in the ThunderDome this week for RAW. They they took advantage of that structure and booked a match between Bobby Lashley and Xavier Woods. A lot of fans were left with questions.

According to a report from PW Insider, WWE is holding another Hell in a Cell match tonight to give the USA Network something extra in an attempt to grab fan attention. This was a last-minute decision made during the show, so it really didn’t give a ton of time to promote.

One of the prime reasons we have seen HIAC bouts on broadcast/cable TV was so give WWE’s TV partners something extra and to try and grab fans’ attention as the company builds towards the return of fans next month.

WWE reportedly upset USA Network when Fox received a Hell in a Cell match last week on SmackDown. Now the USA Network is getting a HIAC match too. Hopefully, it will pay off and bring in viewership.
