Cesaro lost a mat to Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell, but what’s next for the Swiss Cyborg. It seems that WWE might have done all they had planned for him at this point unless they can figure something else out.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up Cesaro and what is likely next for him in WWE. He was elevate on SmackDown because Roman Reigns needed an opponent. Daniel Bryan also helped get Cesaro over prior to his exit, but it’s unknown what WWE has planned for him next.

“He is going where he’s going anyway. He was put up there because they needed an opponent for Roman Reigns and, you know Daniel Bryan had put him over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over to get him ready.”

“Look, Cesaro has been there for how many years? If Vince McMahon liked him he would have been in the main event for seven years. This is where they slotted him. Roman needed an opponent, he was getting a little hot. Now it’s back to whatever, they probably have an idea for Seth now. You know Seth put him over on the way up, and then he put Seth over on the way down. This was probably determined months ago.”

We’ll have to see if Cesaro sees another push in WWE. He has certainly worked hard enough, but that push might have stalled last night at Hell in a Cell with that loss to the Messiah.

Live fans returning to WWE events can always call for a renewed push for Cesaro. Those fans might be able to show that the organic reaction for the Swiss Superman is good enough to continue that push. In the meantime, things don’t look too positive regarding Cesaro’s future if they carry on after this loss.
