WWE crowned Shinsuke Nakamura as the one true king in WWE. He beat Corbin for his crown on SmackDown this week, and the King of Strong Style is officially back. How long will he hold that crown?
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about Shinsuke Nakamura becoming WWE’s one true king. He then said that there is talk of doing another King of the Ring tournament really soon.
“I’ve heard talk of them doing another King of the Ring tournament really soon. So, maybe Corbin can win it back there.”
We heard reports that WWE was thinking about a King of the Ring tournament for late 2021 or early 2022. Perhaps, they are planning it eariler than that, especially with this recent angle concerning Corbin’s now-lost crown.
The big question is who will become the next King of the Ring whenever the company holds that tournament. Xavier Woods is certainly waiting for that day to happen, and he really wants to be the man holding the crown and scepter when the dust settles.
WWE is also considering a return of RAW Roulette and a Cyber Sunday-like event. We will have to see how often they book themed events, but Fox and USA Network are also pitching plenty of ideas.
