Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion.
From late 2020 to early this year, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were involved in a very serious feud that saw them taking on each other in a series of hard-hitting and intense matches, which received a lot of praise from fans and WWE Superstars alike.
The feud between the two would end at WWE Fastlane when McIntyre defeated Sheamus in a No Holds Barred match. While speaking on The Masked Man Show, Drew McIntyre expressed his desire to square off against Sheamus in a long match in front of a live audience, so that they can properly tell their story.
“Myself and Sheamus had a series of matches that didn’t get too much into our story. The best thing was our last match and the build-up video that really told our 20-year history, which was all a true story. We didn’t get into it as much as we could and probably should have, which means there is more time to do it down the line. I think it’d be cool for him and I to have significant time in front of a live crowd. You talk about big men slapping meat, Sheamus and I committed crimes on each other in the ring. I’ve been around for a while and been in a few fights in my life, but I promise no fight is close to myself vs. Sheamus in a wrestling match.”
Drew McIntyre is currently scheduled to face off against Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view this Sunday. We will have to see if McIntyre will win the match and one day continue his feud with Sheamus.
