Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed were brought in to wrestle dark matches before SmackDown this week. They did not wrestle each other. Click here to find out who they did face, because those matches will likely never see the light of day.
PW Insider reported that there are no immediate plans to progress with Bronson Reed’s call-up, but that could change. There are plans right now to take a better look at Karrion Kross, and now it’s on to the promo phase.
There was talk last night that Kross and Scarlett would be brought back next week, possibly to do some promos. We have not heard if there was a plan for Reed to do the same.
It was also reported that WWE is gearing up for the upcoming Draft after SummerSlam. The plan is to look at different wrestlers that they can pull up from NXT “to accentuate the main roster as they prepare to shake things up into the Fall.” This could be another time of transition on the WWE roster as the company continues their efforts to freshen up the product.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon is looking for characters. It doesn’t matter how great a wrestler someone is, because McMahon wants to know what character they bring to the table.
We’ll have to see what’s next for Karrion Kross and Scarlett. NXT has done a great job with their characters, but a main roster jump is always bound to tweak certain things about a Superstar to meet Vince McMahon’s liking.
Will Karrion Kross become another victim of the Main Roster’s booking or elevate himself to a top spot and stay there? Sound off in the comments!
