AEW was forced to change up their tapings plans for June when the NBA Playoffs came around. Those games took priority on TNT so Tony Khan’s company had to figure out other times to air Dynamite. They don’t plan on being in that situation again any time soon.
Next week’s episode of Dynamite will air at Saturday and it will be a live show. That episode will feature Kenny Omega vs Jungle Boy for the AEW World Title. They will then get back on the road after that.
According to Fightful Select, AEW has no plans to air any more taped episodes of Dynamite for “quite a while.” The company taped from Friday to Sunday after Double Or Nothing to get all of June’s episodes in the can.
The crew returns next Saturday for the Saturday Night Dynamite special — open to fans, and has a quick turnaround for the following Wednesday live in Jacksonville with fans as well.
AEW is getting back to the road on a weekly basis starting in July. They will also return to Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM on TNT. Next week’s Saturday show will also air at 8:00 PM which will be a nice change of pace for fans who were watching the show at 10:00 PM for the past few weeks.
