WWE is coming up with plenty of gimmicky ideas for new themed shows. King of the Ring could be returning and a fan-voting episode like Cyber Sunday might also be on the way. The company has ideas getting floated to them by their television networks as well, and one very interesting one could see WWE fans doing a lot of math.

The idea of a Wrestling World Cup was also pitched which would include every WWE brand for a longer tournament. Needless to say, WWE is listening to a lot of suggestions right now.

According to a report fromFightful, NBC Universal pitched the idea to WWE that they should have a “Points Month.” That would require them to keep score and determine a winner based on a points system that includes match wins, signature moves, and other factors.

Another pitch NBC has made is a “points month” where wins, signature moves and other things rack up “points” for wrestlers.

We’re not sure how far along this idea is. Honestly, it sounds like a truckload of confusion waiting to happen, but crazier things have been green lit in WWE.

This Points Month idea might also cause a lot of fans to point out the fact that AEW has kept a rankings system since the company opened their doors. They rank stars while using several factors that might be compared to this idea floated by NBCU to WWE.

What’s your take on Points Month? Should WWE do it and break out the calculators? Sound off in the comments!
