WWE released Mickie James from her contract and that started a pretty big controversy. Her release wasn’t so much what sparked so many people crying out in anger, but it was how her property was treated. WWE sent her a care package in a trash bag, which was apparently the wat all releases were handled. That eventually led to Mark Carrano’s firing.
Mickie James will be executive producing the NWA’s upcoming all-female event, but she hasn’t been confirmed to wrestle. She could be headed back to Impact Wrestling.
During Impact Wrestling this week, Tasha Steelz found a garbage bag in the dumpster with the word “Mickie” written on it. This was a spoof of Mickie James getting her gear mailed to her in a garbage bag by WWE. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that it looks pretty apparent that Mickie James is making her return to the company.
Impact Wrestling used Slammiversary to tease the debut for many recently released WWE Superstars. Now we will have to wait until July 17th to see who really shows up.
