Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion.

Drew McIntyre’s first run with the WWE Championship was historic was he is the first Scottish wrestler to ever win the WWE Championship. However, it seems a fellow WWE Superstar from the United Kingdom doesn’t think so highly of Drew McIntyre’s title reign.

While speaking to WWE India, Wade Barrett talked about Drew McIntyre being the first WWE Champion from the United Kingdom. Wade Barrett stated that it is an absolute disgrace that McIntyre is the first WWE Champion from the United Kingdom.

“A lot of people got very excited when he became the first-ever British WWE Champion. For me, it is an absolute disgrace. It is an outrage. Everybody on the planet knows it should have been me quite clearly. I had plenty of opportunities that were taken away from me, but ultimately, it’s not me I feel bad for.. I’m not worried about me. I’m worried about the fans, the Great British fans of WWE.”

A lot of fans are also tired of seeing Drew McIntyre being involved in the WWE Championship picture. Drew McIntyre is set to face off against Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WWE Hell In A Cell on June 20. We will have to see if he will be able to win the title or not.
