Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael Can No Longer Move His Arms Due To ALS

Steve “Mongo McMichael announced that he is suffering from ALS and he left the public eye. Things have not gotten much better for him since that heartbreaking interview where he disclosed his illness to the world.

Misty Davenport has provided an update on McMichael, and it’s not a good one. The former WCW star and NFL legend said that he can no longer move his arms due to the disease.

Steve McMichael cannot use his hands or arms due to #ALS, so this is NOT #Mongo. And, I formally request that you immediately stop posting about him out of respect for him & his family.

She also added, “If you’d like to mock or post about him after his death, politely wait 3 years posthumously” to the end of her tweet. The account that she replied to was not set up to troll, but to honor Mongo by sharing old clips.

There is a GoFundMe set up for Mongo’s family. They have raised $204,820 of a $200,000 goal. Chris Jericho contributed $2,500 to the cause along with so many others. We’re sending out our best to Mongo and his family.
