Roman Reigns Invites John Cena To Come Get Smashed

Roman Reigns and John Cena are likely to meet at SummerSlam. The two have not been officially announced for a match yet, but August 21st in Allegiant Stadium could include a dream match situation with The Tribal Chief vs the 16x World Champion.

Cena has expertly avoided answering questions about his August 21st plans already. He laughed and couldn’t really put together what was going on in Las Vegas. Roman Reigns has a much more direct approach to answering that kind of question.

While speaking to ACC Network, Roman Reigns was asked about facing John Cena at SummerSlam. The Universal Champion had a very direct answer when he revealed that Cena knows where to find him if he wants to get smashed.

“If John wants to get smashed, then he knows where I’m at. When it comes to whooping people’s ass, I do not discriminate. Luchadores, mat wrestlers, legends, Hollywood superstars, anybody. Anybody can get it.”

John Cena and Roman Reigns could have an epic showdown, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Reigns does end up winning the bout. Cena’s movie career and other outside commitments brought his schedule into an overloaded state. It’s a miracle that he’s able to make a return to WWE at all.

The Peacemaker series for HBO Max will wrap up production in the first week of July. That is the reason why he couldn’t make a return for WrestleMania. Odds are he’ll be back for SummerSlam in time for a return of live touring again.
