Adam Cole has yet to receive a call-up to the WWE main roster yet, but he’s still focused on doing his thing in NXT right now. Cole hasn’t stopped on the black and gold brand, even earning a match at The Great American Bash against Kyle O’Reilly, and he was choked out by Samoa Joe in the process. Still, some would love to see what he can do on the WWE main roster.

About a year ago, Booker T said that Adam Cole needs more time in NXT before making his main roster jump. While he recently spoke to Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, Booker T was asked who will be a top star in WWE in three to five years, and he had one person in mind, Adam Cole Bay-Bay.
“Man, there’s a lot of young guys out there, and the landscape of the business has changed. The big guys aren’t as relevant today. I’m really looking to see how far Adam Cole breaks out. People always compare him to the Shawn Michaels type of worker and I really think a guy like Adam Cole – even being a small guy – is going to be able to work so much bigger (wrestlers) than his actual size, like a Shawn Michaels.”
We’ll have to see what is next for Adam Cole. Fans have thought that he was getting written out of NXT’s storylines on a constant basis, but he continues reappearing for the black and gold brand. The future seems wide open for the former NXT Champion, and Booker T certainly can’t wait to watch him go.
