The WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view was a night of memorable moments and great matches, for the most part. The show also featured the Lumberjack match between The Miz and Damian Priest. That match had zombies as lumberjacks instead of regular WWE Superstars which was a big change from the status quo.

This zombie decision was panned by fans and pro wrestlers alike. Batista told fans to complain directly to Vince McMahon. Chris Jericho also decided to troll the company over the inclusion of zombies.

While speaking to Comicbook.com, The Miz talked about the zombie match at WrestleMania Backlash. The Miz slammed online critics of the match, stating that it was an out of the box match and people are quick to give it so much flak.

“And some people give us flack for going outside the box. And the problem with, I feel like, today’s world is that it’s so easy to just literally go on the Internet and just critique and say, “This is terrible. This is horrible.”

The Miz is currently out of action for an indefinite period of time due to an injury he suffered during the match. We will have to be when he will be able to make an in-ring return.
