For the past couple of months, WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars, beginning with the release of Superstars such as Samoa Joe and Mickie James in April.

Since then, several WWE Superstars from NXT and the main roster were released. The latest slew of COVID-19 budget cuts took place last week, which saw the release of numerous talents.

While speaking on her Oral Sessions podcast, Renee Paquette talked about WWE’s latest round of releases, which included the likes of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black and others. Renee Paquette stated that she felt bad for all the WWE Superstars who are walking on eggshells in the company, as it inevitably leads to bad performances.

“I feel for the talent that is there. It sucks to see your friends leaving and people getting released, especially when it’s people that we all know are very talented people that bring a lot to the table and they’ve just kind of slipped between the cracks or not been given the attention or nurturing that maybe they needed in those given roles. There’s nothing worse than going to work feeling like you’re on eggshells. That does not lead to good performances.”

With more releases from the coming happening eventually, we certainly wonder whether other pro wrestlers will think twice before deciding to sign with WWE, even if it was their dream destination for long.
