Kyle O’Reilly is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in NXT right now and his in-ring prowess has been on full display over the past few years. After Adam Cole broke up the Undisputed Era, he feuded with Kyle O’Reilly.
One of the most talked about instances during their feud took place in February, where Adam Cole dropped O’Reilly on top of the steel steps with a Brainbuster. O’Reilly appeared to be knocked out until a ringside woke him up.
Fans who were in attendance at the Capitol Wrestling Center started uploading photos and videos on social media, which led many to believe that O’Reilly suffered a seizure. Thankfully, it was all part of the storyline as O’Reilly would clarify that he was okay.
While speaking to TV Insider, Kyle O’Reilly talked about that incident, where he revealed that his sister was in hysterics after seeing the rumors on Twitter that O’Reilly suffered a seizure.
“My sister [was really worried]. That was the first thing she saw was this rumor on Twitter before I’d even had the chance to give her a call and let her know I was okay. She called me in hysterics freaking out. That made me sad because here is someone who is family who sees something on Twitter and was concerned.
“I knew [social media’s speculation] came from a caring and genuine place. They were concerned. I can’t fault anyone for that.”
Kyle O’Reilly would go on to defeat Adam Cole in their brutal unsanctioned match at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Now O’Reilly is set to square of against Pete Dunne, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Karrion Kross in a fatal five-way match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House for the NXT Championship. We wonder whether O’Reilly will be able to win the match or not.
