CM Punk is still considered as one of the all-time greats in the modern pro wrestling era, as he had a huge fan following during his time as an active in-ring competitor in WWE.

Last week, WWE continued its slew of releasing talents from the company as it fired the likes of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy and others. This move was met with a lot of backlash from fans and pro wrestlers alike.

CM Punk especially had a very critical reaction to WWE’s action as he stated that the company is simply trash. Many frustrated fans and pro wrestlers agreed with what Punk said and it seems they weren’t the only ones.

While speaking on his Drive Thru podcast, pro wrestling legend Jim Cornette addressed CM Punk’s scathing remarks towards WWE. Simply put, Jim Cornette was in full agreement with what Punk said.

“I don’t know if I could’ve put it better myself. He’s very good, very good, to the point. I tend to meander a little bit sometimes,”

CM Punk had also previously mentioned that he always calls pro wrestling ‘fake’ now, as his stance on pro wrestling has changed. Punk’ opinion regarding the company certainly has truth to it as fans continue to criticize various aspects of the company and it is not known whether that will change or not.
