For the past couple of months, WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars, beginning with the release of Superstars such as Samoa Joe and Mickie James in April.

Since then, several WWE Superstars from NXT and the main roster were released. The latest slew of COVID-19 budget cuts took place last week, which saw the release of numerous talents. The most shocking name among the list was undoubtedly Braun Strowman.

Braun Strowman already commented on his release as he was one of the mainstays of the company for several years and a former WWE Universal Champion.

It seems his time in WWE certainly raised his stock by a lot, as it seems Strowman is charging a lot of money for independent circuit bookings as reported by PWInsider. Strowman is said to be asking for a price that is in the five-figure range, which is certainly a lot of money.

We have heard from independent promoters that reached out to Braun Strowman that the asking price is currently in the five-figure range.  We are told that Strowman is pretty set financially and doesn’t need to immediately run out and do bookings, but if a promoter comes along and meets the right price, that’s a different story.

Braun Strowman recently commented on his future in the pro wrestling business. Perhaps fans will see him end up in AEW eventually, even if Booker T doesn’t think it’s the right place for him.
