Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut back in July of last year, where he faced off against Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship. While he was unsuccessful in the match, Kingston impressed many and signed with the company.

Kingston quickly cemented himself as one of the best talkers in AEW as his promos are known to be from the heart and very natural. He is also very passionate when it comes to the pro wrestling world and isn’t a fan of WWE’s practices.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Eddie Kingston talked about why he doesn’t like WWE hiring trainees who never spent a day in a pro wrestling ring over those who have spent years in the business.

They get people at the PC who have done other things prior to wrestling and they don’t know anything about pro wrestling or the history. They’re going to come into our business and our sport and tell someone who has been doing this almost 20 years that they’re going to love pro wrestling. I’m like, ‘f**k outta here.’ Would you love pro wrestling if you’re in the car for 18 hours to drive just to get ring time, get $15, and drive home? Then do it again the next day or next weekend?

You gotta struggle to go forward in life. Without struggle and sacrifice, there is no progress

The pro wrestling business is certainly a harsh and unforgiving landscape for many as pro wrestlers have to sacrifice a lot to achieve their dreams. Eddie Kingston spoke from the heart as he loves the business and has endured the struggles any pro wrestler would. He is certainly content working in AEW right now and that isn’t changing anytime soon.
