AEW signed Andrade to a deal and that was a big shock for fans. Now Andrade El Idolo is a part of the AEW roster, but it came after some heavy talks.

WWE released Andrade without any non-compete clause associated with his exit. He had talks with Tony Khan very early on, but they stalled. There was an issue where Andrade wanted creative control.

It was previously reported that a compromise was reached between AEW and Andrade. The original report was that Andrade has control over his match finishes. Wrestling Inc made a correction to their previous report to note that was a mistake. They then noted that no AEW talent has any creative control written into their contracts as Tony Khan is the final decision maker.

We are told that Andrade’s deal with AEW does not have any creative control. It was also noted that no one in AEW has creative control in their contracts, as Khan has total control over creative

Tony Khan might take suggestions into consideration, but nobody can book themselves in his company. He even vetoed Executive Vice Presidents in the past when they wanted to lose and put over newer talent.

Andrade and AEW are just getting started, but nobody has any say in how they’re booked except for Tony Khan.
