CM Punk is still considered as one of the all-time greats in the modern pro wrestling era, as he had a huge fan following during his time as an active in-ring competitor in WWE.

While Punk hasn’t been inside a WWE ring since 2014, he still takes part in many pro wrestling interviews. In the pro wrestling world, the word “fake” is viewed as a derogatory term by many wrestlers and fans and is known to make them mad.

It seems CM Punk’s stance on pro wrestling has changed over the years. While speaking on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Punk admitted it used to bother him when people called wrestling “fake.” Now he himself calls pro wrestling “fake.”

“I very much look at wrestling nowadays as theater. There might have been a time when I might have been offended when somebody said that, right? It’s like calling it fake. There was probably a time when I’d get mad if somebody called it fake. Now I call it fake all the time.”

We will have to see if Punk ever makes a pro wrestling comeback somewhere down the line, even if his stance on pro wrestling is no longer what it used to be.
