AEW had to pull Fenix from their plans and he missed Double or Nothing. The wait for the Lucha Bros’ return might not take too long.

According to Bodyslam, Rey Fenix will be out of action for about 6 to 8 weeks with a groin injury. That will see his return to the ring in about a month, because he’s already been out of action since April.

Fenix has been out of action since April due to injury. According to this new report, he will be back soon. AEW will certainly be able to find a place for him once he is ready for action.

His last match for AEW was on April 26th in a match on AEW Dark Elevation against Chuck Taylor. It is reported that the current belief is that he suffered his injury while working in Mexico, but that has not been 100% confirmed.

The Death Triangle had to carry on without Fenix, booking Eddie Kingston with Pac and Penta in a trios match. That booking also made sense because Jon Moxley is indefinitely out of action.
