WWE made a few surprising cuts to the roster today. Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, and Buddy Murphy were all cut. Santana Garrett was among those names.

According to a report from Fightful, Santana Garrett was released from her WWE contract today. This happened before she got to even make her debut on the main roster.

Garrett was called up to the main roster in 2020, but she wasn’t used. There were many weeks of her sitting at catering, and then she wasn’t called. Many fans were hoping that Garrett’s debut would come after she posted a photo backstage at SmackDown, but that didn’t happen either.

This release happened days after Santana Garrett sparked a controversy for posting a video on Instagram were the camera zoomed in on “F*ck Biden” flags. At this time is has not been confirmed this had anything to do with her release, so it might have been a pure coincidence.
