Aleister Black Released From WWE Contract

Aleister Black went through a long stint where he sat in catering while WWE worked on his character. Things didn’t seem to click for him, but he still made his return via a series of vignettes. Now Black is gone from the company.

According to Fightful, Aleister Black’s name was among today’s releases. His name was a surprising one to find on that list considering his recent return to television.

Aleister Black just made his big return and disrupted Big E’s chances to regain the IC Title. It appeared that a program with Black and Big E was on the way. Now that is not happening.

It is always shocking when WWE releases someone with a ton of potential. As a former NXT Champion, many fans expected far more from the former Tommy End. Now he will be Tommy End once again, because WWE owns the Aleister Black name.

This also takes place during a strange time. Recent reports stated that WWE is working to bring Aleister Black’s wife Zelina Vega back to the company. We will a have to wait and see about that now.
