NJPW and WWE are currently in talks in order to form a possible partnership in the future, which was a move made by WWE President Nick Khan. Khan was trying to make a deal with NJPW so that WWE may become the exclusive United States partner for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

AEW President Tony Khan cut a very scathing promo on Nick Khan’s actions, which certainly got a lot of attention from various sources. Tony Khan would even go on to call Nick Khan a con man in his promo.

Tony Khan also revealed that NJPW had approved of his promo and thought it was great. While others liked Khan’s promo, it seems a WWE Hall Of Famer didn’t share the same sentinments.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Tony Khan’s promo on Nick Khan, adding that he isn’t sure what the point was in the promo and doesn’t see how it’ll work out for AEW.

“Tony Khan cut a big promo on Nick Khan, that kind of stuff, to me, I don’t know, I’m trying to figure out how that works out for my company. Huge shots like that, me personally, I don’t get it. But maybe it’s something… the internet… I remember hearing him mention certain sites (websites) and whatnot. I’m just trying to figure out what is the end game for AEW, and me, personally, I’m not seeing it. I’m just trying to figure out where we’re going with the thing.”

We will have to see if WWE and NJPW will actually agree on a working partnership or if talks will fall through. With pro wrestling being as unpredictable as it is, anything is possible.
