Pro wrestling legend Sting shocked the world when he made his debut in AEW last year in December. Since then he has been featured heavily on AEW television being paired up with Darby Allin.

Sting and Darby Allin partnered up in order to take on the team of Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page in a tag team match. It was Sting’s first match since 2015 and there were certainly a lot of expectations for the match.

Sting put on a tremendous performance and undoubtedly exceeded all expectations as it was evident he could still compete inside the squared circle. Sting was also the deciding factor in the match as he won the match for his team.

According to a report by PWInsider, backstage reaction to Sting’s performance was overwhelmingly positive as there was a “HUGE pop” for Sting’s work as AEW stars watched on from the back.

Sting is currently at a 2-0 AEW record as he and Darby Allin also defeated Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a cinematic street fight at Revolution in February. So far, Sting has been used well as many fans would agree. We will have to see what is next in store for The Icon.
