Hikaru Shida is one of the mainstays of the women’s division in AEW and is one of the most talented female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She also defended her AEW Women’s Championship against Britt Baker at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.

It was one of the most anticipated matches on the card and it certainly delivered on all accounts. The final moments of the match saw Britt Baker applying the lockjaw on Shida and making her tap out.

Britt Baker became the new AEW Women’s Champion, bringing an end to Hikaru Shida’s amazing 372-day reign as champion. Now it seems Shida has reacted to her shocking loss.

Hikaru Shida took to Twitter and reacted to her loss as she thanked fans for supporting her for over a year and that it was an honor to be the world champion for so long.

It was an honor to be the champ in the world-wide hard time, I don’t feel I was unlucky at all. I appreciate all of you to support me long time. Thank you so much. But….. god, this is hard #AEW#DOUBLEorNOTHING

We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Hikaru Shida now that she is no longer the AEW Women’s Champion as it is likely she will want a rematch for the title.
