Following Double or Nothing, Tony Khan took part in a media scrum where he revealed the company’s plan to take Rampage live. That 10:00 PM Friday night show will have as many live episodes as they can, but there will also be weeks when they must tape in advance.
“We’re gonna be live on August 13th, the premiere on Friday the 13th, it’ll be Friday the 13th and it’ll be a huge episode and we’ll be live from the start. I’ve got a lot of live episodes planned. There may be times when we do it kinda classic taped like taped with shows on a Wednesday, maybe, but it’s gonna live from the start and I plan to make this as important as any show an we’ve got some great shows and I plan for it to be live out of the gate, but I plan for it to be jus as good as any shows that we do.”
AEW already made it clear that Rampage will be just as important as Dynamite. It seems that they will likely continue the company’s weekly storylines with that new hour-long show, giving fans even more of an opportunity to see those angles develop.
Tony Khan obviously has a lot of plans and he is very excited about the company’s future. AEW Rampage will debut on August 13th at 10:00 PM EST. We will have full coverage here at Ringside News.
