The pro wrestling world is certainly an unpredictable one as anything could happen at any time. This includes partnerships between companies that fans never thought would ever take place in the past.

NJPW and WWE are currently in talks in order to form a possible partnership in the future. This move was made by WWE President Nick Khan, who is trying to make a deal with NJPW so that WWE may become the exclusive United States partner for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

AEW President Tony Khan cut a very scathing promo on Nick Khan’s actions, which certainly got a lot of attention from various sources. This included fans who were clearly behind Tony Khan for his promo work.

However, it seems a pro wrestling legend didn’t seem to think much of Tony Khan’s promo. Jim Cornette took to Twitter and blasted Tony Khan, as he compared Tony Khan’s promo to a “Make-A-Wish kid”.

I think @tonyschiavone24 and the rest of the @AEW staff should be commended for letting fans do promos with an on-air talent……oh, wait, this is actually a REAL promo? I thought it was a Make-A-Wish kid talking about the bouts between his action figures.

Jim Cornette certainly knows how to raise eyebrows with his controversial statements and this time it was no different. Regardless, we certainly wonder if WWE and NJPW will be able to work out a deal and if they do, it is likely the partnership they have with AEW and Impact Wrestling will be affected as well.
