Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut back in July of last year, where he faced off against Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship. While he was unsuccessful in the match, Kingston impressed many and signed with the company.

Kingston quickly cemented himself as one of the best talkers in AEW as his promos are known to be from the heart and very natural. Inside the ring, Kingston has a very interesting way of making his opponents react to his every move.

While taking part in a Q&A session on AdFreeShows, Eddie Kingston was asked how he would handle working in WWE, which is a heavily scripted environment with little to no breathing space for most of its Superstars. Kingston said that he would get fired by the company very quickly for going off-script in his promos.

“I wouldn’t like it, but I’d do my job. I love this, it’s my passion, but it’s also my job. Whoever I’m working for, if they tell me ‘we need you to say whatever,’ I do it. I wouldn’t be happy, but I’d do it. I’d probably get in trouble and fired real quick because I’d slide in certain things about myself. My mother knew that and that’s why she said sign with AEW.”

Many fans would agree that Eddie Kingston is better suited to the less restrictive environment that AEW provides. Eddie Kingston is set to team up with Jon Moxley and square off against The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Double or Nothing. We will have to see whether Moxley and Kingston will be able to defeat The Young Bucks for the titles.
