Former WWE Superstar Christian made his in-ring return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, after hiatus of seven years. Many fans were wondering whether he would stay with WWE in the long run but that didn’t happen as Christian made his debut in AEW at AEW Revolution back in March.
Christian is also a true veteran in the pro wrestling business and can play the role of both a babyface and heel to perfection, as shown in WWE and TNA. He is also known to be a funny person backstage but it seems his sense of humor might have rubbed others the wrong way.
While speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Dr. Tom Prichard talked about Christian’s career in WWE during his development days there. Prichard stated that due to Christian’s dry sense of humor, many others backstage perceived him as a “d***head.”
The question of Christian’s personality being problematic was also asked by co-host John Poz, to which Prichard said that Edge and Christian had great attitudes, and they did what was needed to not become pushovers in the locker room.
‘You can say something and be misperceived or misunderstood. It’s not uncommon. So yeah, he could be perceived as a d***head sometimes, but who couldn’t?”
Christian is currently having a solid run in AEW and is set to compete in the Casino Battle Royal match at Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view. We will have to see if he will win the match or not.
