Tonight’s SmackDown will feature the in ring return as a tag team for The Usos as they team together for the first time in over a year to face off against The Street Profits.

Also announced for tonight’s show is a tag team championship match between champions Rey and Dominik Mysterio and the former champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins with The Usos talking backstage getting hyped up for their match tonight. The Usos are interrupted by an approaching Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Reigns asks Jimmy if he feels good about tonight and Reigns then asks for Jimmy to fill him in on the game plan for tonight. Jimmy says the goal is to win, for all of them to be champions and that is how they will honor the family. Reigns says he’s happy for them and says good luck. As Jimmy leaves in an excited state, Reigns says “cause you’re gonna need it” and Jey reassures Reigns that even though he is with Jimmy tonight, he is always with Reigns.

Live in the ThunderDome with The Street Profits making their way out to the ring for our big opening tag team match. Montez Ford gives an opening promo hyping up the upcoming tag team match as “a clash of the titans” and that The Street Profits were flattered The Usos challenged them as Ford and Dawkins mock various catch phrases and theme songs from The Usos. Ford then says that they’re not facing the same Usos As before. The Usos make their way out to the ring and Jimmy says that the best tag team in the business is back. Jimmy tells The Street Profits about all of their accomplishments as a team and Jey says it’s a family matter and this “dream match” is a nightmare for The Street Profits and The Usos will use them as a stepping stone.

The Usos VS The Street Profits

Our opening match begins with Dawkins and Jimmy Uso in the ring. Dawkins powers Jimmy into the corner and connects with two shoulder tackles to take down Jimmy. Ford is tagged in and Jimmy soon tags in Jey. Jey hits a kick to the gut and follows it up with an uppercut in the corner. Ford flips out of an Irish Whip into the corner and hits an arm drag into an armbar on Jey. Ford tags in Dawkins and after Jey is able to make it to the corner, Jimmy is tagged in. Jimmy hits a diving headbutt to the shoulder of Dawkins and Jimmy is able to driv Dawkins to the corner and make the tag to Jey. After more double teaming, Dawkins is finally able to shift the momentum with a deep arm drag to Jimmy. Dawkins and Ford send both Usos to the outside with a double lariat over the top rope.

*Commercial break*

Back live with Dawkins having Jimmy in an armbar, Ford is tagged in and hits a top rope move to the arm of Jimmy. The Usos take advantage of Ford’s celebration by making the quick tag and throwing Ford to the outside and then throwing Ford into the barricade. Jey rolls Ford back into the ring and hits a back suplex. Jimmy is tagged in and hits a top rope dive as Jey holds Ford down. Ford powers out of a choke hold but Jimmy hits a strike to Ford’s back before a tag can be made. Jey is tagged in and locks in a chin lock to Ford on the mat. Ford throws punches to both Usos in the corner and hits an enziguri to Jey and Ford crawls to the ropes but gets held back by Jimmy. Ford is able to hit an enziguri to Jimmy this time, and as Ford makes a desperate leap for a tag, Jey pulls Dawkins from off the apron to prevent the tag. In the ring, Jimmy hits Ford with a Samoan drop and covers for a two count.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns with Jey Uso and Ford fighting on the top rope. Jey is able to slam Ford to the ring apron and as Jey approaches Ford, Ford hits a big uppercut. Ford and Jey hit each other with a double lariat and Ford is able to tag Dawkins in who unleashes a series of fast paced moves on Jimmy. Ford runs to the corner and flips over Jimmy Uso laying down on the top rope and hits Jey Uso outside the ring. Dawkins hits a twisting neck breaker and covers for a two count. Dawkins blocks a super kick and dodges a spin kick and Dawkins tags in Ford who goes up top and goes for a frog splash but Jey pulls Jimmy out of the way. Jimmy gets back in the ring and hits Ford with a super kick and covers for the three count.

Winners; The Usos

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are interviewed backstage and they say their strategy at WrestleMania Backlash was flawed because it brought out a parental instinct in Rey Mysterio that made him stronger than he ever was and guarantee they will win back their titles tonight.

Natalya & Tamina VS The Riott Squad

Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott get the advantage early on as they work over Natalya in their corner. Commentary informs us that before the match, The Riott Squad took out Tamina, explaining why Tamina is not on the apron for Natalya to tag. Natalya manages to stack up both members of The Riott Squad but is unable to lock in the double sharpshooter. Tamina makes her way back to the apron and Natalya tags her in. Tamina hits a powerful strike to the back of Riott’s head. Tamina goes to the top rope and Riott tries an arm drag that gets blocked. Tamina hits the superfly splash and covers for the three count.

Winners: Natalya & Tamina

The Usos go up to Adam Pearce in celebration after their victory. Jimmy Uso demands that they face the winners of tonight’s tag team championship match and Pearce confirms the match as Jimmy leaves in excitement and Jey has a look of concern on his face.

Bianca Belair VS Carmella

Before the match can start, Bayley interrupts and sits down and joins the commentary team. The actual match begins with Belair hitting a spear into the corner. Carmella hits a head scissor take down to send Belair to the outside. Beliar hits a shoulder tackle to Carmella on the outside. Belair throws Carmella back into the ring and as the ref tries to separate the two from the ropes Carmella hits a cheap shot and covers for a two count. Carmella puts Belair in a chin lock on the mat which Belair is eventually able to power out of and hit a back breaker. Belair hits a shoulder tackle and Carmella hits a series of elbows in the corner. Carmella goes for a flying cross body but is caught by Belair who hits a fall away slam and covers for a two count. Belair charges to the corner but Carmella dodges, causing Belair to hit her shoulder on the post. Carmella puts Belair on the apron and hits a super kick on the outside and covers for a two count. Belair hits the Kiss of Death and covers Carmella for the three count.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Rey and Dominik Mysterio are interviewed backstage, and Rey says that they have a game plan too. Dominik says their motivation is unparalleled and there is no tag team in the world that can top this and Rey and Dominik hug each other.

SmackDown returns with Seth Rollins in the ring. Rollins says he is not out here to talk, he is here to fight. Rollins then calls out Cesaro and says “let’s finish this tonight”. After a wait, Rollins says that of course Cesaro isn’t here to ruin the best day of the year, his birthday. A video package then airs showing Rollins’ vicious series of attacks to Cesaro from last week. The camera cuts back to Rollins in the ring with a blank look on his face. Rollins alludes to having live footage from Cesaro’s hospital room and after teasing showing the footage, Rollins laughs in the ring. Rollins the shifts his tone saying that last week Cesaro pushed him to point where Rollins let out all of his anger and blacked out. Rollins claims he is a man of integrity and responsibility and says that we have to place some of the blame on “you” “you watching at home right now”. Rollins says it is the fault of the fans for brain washing Cesaro into believing he was worthy of opportunities that he had not earned. Rollins then says that his hands are clean of all guilt with Cesaro. Rollins then sings happy birthday to himself as he leaves the ring.

Kevin Owens VS Apollo Crews

This non title match begins with Owens immediately rushing into the corner with an onslaught of strikes. Owens then hits a cannon ball and a top rope swanton and makes the cover for a two count. Crews counters a suplex attempt and goes to the top rope but gets met and brought down by Owens. Owens hits the stunner and covers but the cover is broken up by Commander Azeez hitting the Nigerian Nail to Kevin Owens.

Winner by Disqualification: Kevin Owens

Backstage, Roman Reigns asks Jey Uso if the tag team match next weak is what Jey really wants. Reigns says that all he has ever wanted is the best for Jey and for the family. Reigns says that he doesn’t want Jey to go back to a place where people look at Jey and say “which one are you again?” Reigns says Jey needs to think about this, because Jimmy isn’t.

Rick Boogs appears on stage playing his guitar. Boogs introduces Shinsuke Nakamura and plays his theme song on guitar.

Shinsuke Nakamura VS Chad Gable

Before the bell, Otis attacks Nakamura and slams him to the mat. After the bell rings, Gable hots a belly to belly suplex and covers for a two count. Nakamura hits a drop kick and hits a kick to Otis on the ring apron. Gable goes for a top rope moonsault that Nakamura avoids and Gable lands on his feet. Nakamura hits the Kinshasa and covers for the three count.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

After the match, King Corbin attempts to leave with his crown that he took back from Nakamura. Rick Boogs hits Corbin with his guitar and Nakamura grabs the crown back and leaves with Boogs by his side.

Kevin Owens is being treated for an injury. Adam Pearce makes an Intercontinental Championship match official for next week where Commander Azeez will be banned from ringside.

Back live with WWE officials and Dominik Mysterio standing over an injured Rey Mysterio. Commentary questions what happened to Rey as Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode look on from inside the ring. Ziggler grabs the mic and immediately denies responsibility for what happened to Rey. Roode says that if the champions don’t make it out, it’s a forfeit and they should be awarded the championships. Backstage, Dominik tells Adam Pearce that he is stepping up for his father and Dominik makes his way out to the ring alone.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Rey & Dominik Mysterio VS Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

Our tag team championship match begins with Dominik and Ziggler in the ring. Immediately after the bell rings, Dominik rushes to attack Ziggler, Ziggler gets out of the way and hits a super kick and tags in Roode. Roode begins to attack Dominik in the corner and Ziggler is tagged back in. Ziggler stomps on Dominik’s arm as Dominik looks to make a tag in the corner with nobody there for him to tag. Roode is tagged in and Dominik tries to fight back but is hit with a shoulder tackle from Roode. Roode tags Ziggler back in and Ziggler goes to the apron and grabs the tag rope to taunt Dominik. Ziggler hits a neck breaker and covers for a two count. Dominik manages to rally back and he knock Roode to the outside and throws Ziggler out and Dominik hits a dive to both of his opponents to the outside. Dominik attempts the 619 but Ziggler avoids it and hits the famouser and covers for a two count. Roode is tagged in and Dominik is hit with a double team slam and Roode covers for a two count. Rey Mysterio makes his way out to the ring with his music playing, and Dominik takes advantage of the distraction to roll up Roode for the three count.

Winners: Rey & Dominik Mysterio

After the match, The Usos run out to the ring to stare down The Mysterios and build up hype for their tag team championship match next week.
