WWE continues to release more and more employees from the company, which began last month after they fired 10 WWE Superstars including Samoa Joe and Mickie James. After that they release several NXT Superstars and employees.

Adnan Virk was also recently released from his role of Monday Night RAW commentator and then Tom Phillips was released as well. WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley was certainly shocked at his firing.

Many fans suspected that Tom Phillips’ release was part of the recent mass cuts from the company, but it seems that wasn’t the case. According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Phillips’ departure from the company was not part of the firings from earlier this week.

It was also stated that Phillips appeared on camera to call this Friday’s episode of 205 Live, which will be his last-ever appearance on WWE television. He was also present at Tuesday’s NXT taping, where Phillips worked as a producer during the broadcast.
