WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in the company right now and has earned his spot at the top after an incredible showing in the past several months.

Roman Reigns’ reinvention has truly shown just how good he can be both as an in-ring performer and character. On the other hand, Drew McIntyre is currently a mainstay on Monday Night RAW and that has been the case for well over a year now, as he has proven to be up to the task when it matters. He has come a long way since his first WWE run and the results speak for themselves.

Roman Reigns certainly had some tough adversaries during his current Universal Title reign, and that includes Drew McIntyre. The two squared off against each other at Survivor Series and it took Reigns a lot of outside interference and several finishers to put McIntyre down for the win.

While speaking to WWE Now India, Roman Reigns talked about Drew McIntyre when he was discussing the WWE Superstar Spectacle. Reigns then mocked McIntyre by calling him his favorite number two and stated there is a huge gap between them.

“With the pressure of being on the biggest sports entertainment platform in the world, [Rinku and Saurav] were able to hold their own with a pretty great champion Drew McIntyre. But let’s not confuse this now. Drew McIntyre, he’s my favorite number two. This is your clickbait right here. I’ve said it before. Drew knows it, you all know it. He’s my favourite number two. But when we’re talking about Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre is here [creates a large gap between his hands to show the difference]. And this is me being generous. I’ll give him that. But it won’t ever be [Drew over Roman].”

Roman Reigns continues to be a strong Universal Champion while Drew McIntyre is still pursuing the WWE Championship, as he is set to face Kofi Kingston on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW to determine the #1 contender for the title. We will have to see if McIntyre wins the match or not.
