WWE informed their office staff that they would like everyone back in headquarters by early July. Vaccinations are not mandatory, but if an employee is not vaccinated then they need to wear a mask.
Jerry Lawler sent out a tweet eariler this morning that said WWE told everyone that they need to be vaccinated by the June, Elimination Chamber, pay-per-view. That is what Jerry said, but it is not what he meant to say. He has since deleted that tweet.
The King later tweeted out to clarify his statements about WWE’s COVID-19 vaccine policy. They run like the MLB. If you’re vaccinated then you’re good to go without a mask.
1st let me comment on some of the comments after this tweet of mine. The WWE has the same covid policy as MLB. If you’re fully vaccinated, you’re good to go. If not, you must still wear a mask at the event and be tested before an event.
In trying to be brief, my earlier tweet may have given the wrong impression. WWE never forces anyone to be vaccinated. Their new policy is, if you’re fully vaccinated you no longer have to be tested or wear a mask at events. I hate the masks! I love the new WWE policy!
We will have to see who continues to wear a mask and who gets vaccinated. We have seen several high-profile names get vaccinated already. Both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon publicly revealed their vaccinations. More Superstars have also went in to get the vaccine. They are all preparing for the road and going out to perform in front of fans will always pose a risk.
The 71-year-old WWE Hall of Famer also revealed why it took him this long to get the vaccine, “It’s because I already had COVID back around the 1st of the year I had antibodies and didn’t feel the need.”
Hopefully, WWE doesn’t see any issues with COVID at their live events or on their roster. Jerry Lawler is vaccinated and good to go, but right now he has not regular spot on WWE programming. That could change as well.
How would you use Jerry Lawler on WWE television? Sound off in the comments!
