WWE Promoting Strong Opening Segment For WWE NXT Next Week

WWE presented a big episode of NXT this week, but the viewership didn’t really turn out. The NBA Playoffs were stiff competition despite Karrion Kross vs Finn Balor being promoted as main event. They have a bigger match in store for next week, and it will kick off the show.

William Regal revealed that Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano, and Pete Dunne will battle in a triple threat match next week. The winner of that match will go on to face Karrion Kross for the NXT Title at NXT TakeOver: In Your House on June 13th.

The company revealed this morning that the #1 contender triple threat match will kick off next week’s show. That will provide them with a very strong opener, but the trick is to keep fans for the full two hour show.

We will have to see how everything turns out in this situation. NXT might have something up their sleeves. They don’t typically announce the opening segment of a show this far in advance.
