Roman Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion and is one of the top Superstars in the company right now. He has proven himself to be an excellent champion with great character work and in-ring skills.

This all started after Roman Reigns turned heel last year at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. Since then Roman Reigns is on his best run yet. This was a long time coming as Reigns was continuously pushed as a babyface for years; and fans rejected him for that.

While speaking to Chris Featherstone, Roman Reigns’ FCW trainer and WWE legend Dr. Tom Prichard talked about Roman Reigns’ current character in the company. Prichard believes that Roman Reigns will eventually have another ‘babyface explosion’ and he will be respected on the same lines as John Cena and Kurt Angle.

“I do [think he’ll be a babyface again]. It’s kind of like Cena. Even though people boo Cena or do the Angle chant when Kurt would come out, you knew, and fans still respected those guys because they were professional, and they performed every night on that level. So, I think Reigns is going to have the same thing happen to him too. He is doing what he doing now.

“So, all those things are going to add up to a culmination of his career, and eventually, there is going to be a change and another babyface run or another babyface explosion, but don’t do it until it’s absolutely necessary because Paul Heyman is, man, between him and Cornette, they both, two of the greatest promos ever in professional wrestling and Reigns ain’t too bad either. As long as he gets to be himself. Yeah. I certainly think there is another babyface run for Roman Reigns.”

Roman Reigns will continue to be a heel for the foreseeable future as he simply has been booked as an excellent Universal Champion since his win last year. We will have to see if Reigns will turn into a babyface eventually.

How do you feel about this? Is Roman Reigns set for a big “babyface explosion?” Sound off in the comments!
