WWE Confirms New RAW Announcer Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Smith is set to take over for Adnan Virk, who was released this week. Reports of Smith’s arrival on the red brand broke today and it didn’t take WWE long to announce this themselves.

As we previously reported, Jimmy Smith is coming to RAW. He will start on the May 31st episode next week. This will not be the first time he has called combat sports, because he is known for his time in Bellator.

The company sent out a tweet to confirm the news. This was a very simple message that Smith will start in his new position next week.

WWE today announced that @jimmysmithmma will debut as the play-by-play voice for #WWERaw starting this Monday, May 31 at 8/7c on @USA_Network.

WWE will be a bit different for Jimmy Smith, but that previous experience in Bellator and American Ninja Warrior might just be the perfect mixture that will help him excel. We’ll just have to see how he does with Vince McMahon barking in his ear.
