WWE is firing a lot of people today. The internal system is getting a restructuring as multiple departments will now merge into one division that reports to Kevin Dunn. At least one Vice President was a part of those firings today.
Sean Sapp reported that there will be some executives and top employees fired today. The company is completing exit interviews this afternoon.
PW Insider has reported that Brian Pellegatto was among those firings. He served as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Production and has been with the company for just under nine years.
Brian Pellegatto had been with WWE for just under nine years, coming over from ESPN as a Senior Digital Producer. He rose through the ranks and was named VP of Digital and Scial Media in July 215. He took the position of SVP, Production in March 2019.
We will have to see if more firings are made public. Just because fans never heard of someone doesn’t mean they weren’t an important part to WWE’s puzzle. Now the company will have to figure out what to do with who is left.
It was previously noted that many employees are now “shell shocked,” because they know that their jobs are about to get much more difficult. The company is running on a “bare bones” mentality in the face of record-setting profits.
Should WWE really be firing so many people? Sound off in the comments!
