Adnan Virk’s WWE Departure Draws Big Reaction

Adnan Virk is no longer with WWE. He just started on the RAW brand in April, but now the two sides have “mutually agreed to part ways.” Fans have reacted in droves.

Virk had zero pro wrestling experience, coming into WWE as a sports broadcaster. He was also fired from ESPN for allegedly leaking secrets, something that WWE didn’t seem to care about. WWE President Nick Khan spearheaded bringing Virk in.

Fans were very critical of Virk’s style, but it was also apparent that Vince McMahon was giving him a ton of orders in the headset. Virk’s inflections were often mocked by fans. Now that he is no longer around it’s open season on Adnan Virk mockery.

WWE’s announcement about Virk’s departure brought out a ton of fan responses. A lot of them wondered why he was hired on in the first place. One fan wrote,

“But why my concern is, why did they hire him in the first place??? He was an illogical fit to start. I hope it was Adnan that felt he needed to go himself. Just let Byron Saxton run play-by-play and Corey Graves run color. They’re fine alone.”

Some fans continued making fun of WWE for hiring an announcer and then firing them a month later. Others wondered who will replace him on RAW. Tom Phillips and JBL’s name came up a time or two.
